In Chestnut class, the children are becoming increasingly independent with their learning. The children understand that they have resources readily available in the classroom that can help them with their learning as well as working walls. The children access self-led challenge in maths allowing them to choose their own level of challenge based on their confidence in specific areas. This has developed positive attitudes to learning as the children enjoy challenging themselves. In English, the children love writing creatively focusing on engaging, high quality texts. The children magpie vocabulary from texts and enjoy using these in their writing. We are very sporty, we enjoy learning outdoors and we have great fun every day!
