Oxfam assembly

We have had a visitor in school today to teach us about the work that Oxfam do. We have been inspired and we can't wait for our charity day next week to round up our Big Idea topic!

We have a dream...

To celebrate Martin Luther King day this week we have focussed on the amazing changes he made. It inspired us to think what we feel we would like to change. Idea's included "I have a dream that all girls across will have access to an education", "I have a dream that all homeless people will have a cosy bed one day". Each class wrote dreams on helium balloons and we watched them fly away.

We are athletes!

This week we have been practicing hard for the athletics competition on Wednesday. We have practiced a range of skills for example: sprinting, throwing, long jump, speed bounce.

We Can Change the World

Drama Freeze Frames

Maths Eyes Challenge

This week, Year 5 have been able to complete a 'Maths Eyes' Challenge.  Roecliffe CE School have created a range of problems, based on real life pictures.  Oak Class were able to complete these challenges.

We Are Europeans

This week, as part of Big Idea, the children have used their Map reading skills, in order to locate the positioning of all the countries within Europe.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The have also started to design and paint the canvas for the KS2 3D map, which they are all extremely excited about.
